Valentin Vasilyevich Bondarenko

Born: 16 February 1937.

Experience: Valentin Bondarenko was selected in 1960 as a military pilot cosmonaut. 

On 23 March 1961, he was killed when fire struck his spacecraft simulator with a pure oxygen atmosphere.
